Help Me Investigate is a website to help you connect with others and work together on local, and national, investigations. You can help others investigate issues that are in the public interest or start one up of your own.
This is crowd-sourced investigative journalism in action, and needs people like you to start getting involved.
The site has already had success in Birmingham (where the website was born) and has recently been "Highly Commended" in the shortlist for Multimedia Publisher of the Year.
I think that Bristol is a perfect city for this website to take off. Bristol is a unique, vibrant and exciting city with a diverse and creative population. It is also a city with a strong history of protest.
This website can help us bring all the positive energies of the city together and hopefully yield some excellent investigations and reports. We already have an excellent blogging community - let us see if we can create an exceptional online investigation community.
At present, we''re particularly interested in reaching out to bloggers to help spread the word. If we can get a community moving then we can start organising meet-ups and arrange talks to help encourage the project.
